The Process of Aging
When I was a girl,
The world was bigger than my hand,
But smaller than my foot.
When I was a teen,
The world was a mysterious platform that was welcoming and grand,
But altogether soot.
When I was a woman,
The world seemed smaller,
Yet all the while too big to say I made a difference at all.
When I was in my later years,
I came to find the significance of a dollar,
And true understanding of how life's a game, and I had control of the ball.
