You left us with questions,
Questions that keep us up at night,
That wake us from a dead sleep with their constant asking,
That force us to stay up late to ponder them with our exhausted minds.

Questions that weaken us with their heaviness,
That wear on our strong shoulders,
Questions that only get heavier with their constant asking,
That carry with them a burden heavier than a trillion tons.

Questions that starve our minds with a want for relief,
Then leave us with no food,
That make our hearts thirsty for their answers,
Then leave us with no water.

Questions that cut deep gashes into our sanity,
That keep cutting deeper and deeper,
Questions that yearn to watch us bleed,
Then keep asking to bleed us dry.

Questions that know they have no answers,
And still keep asking all the same.
Questions that torture our existence,
And make us wonder if it’s these same questions that tortured your existence, too.

This poem leaves a little bit of room to think. I know the true meaning of what's happening in it, but I'm going to leave you some room to imagine what happened yourself. Ask yourself--why do the questions exist? I hope you can relate with this poem and enjoy it!
