The Docks
The Docks
Jimmi and his pals head over his place after school
Bang their heads to heavy metal, hop around like fools
Until Jimmi’s mom gets home, and boots them all outside
So they all load up in Ricky’s truck, and go for a ride
Heading to the docks, where they can all hang out
Play their music as loud as they want, laugh, scream, and shout
The docks is a place just for them, that no one can take away
Since they were eight years old, it’s where they’d always play
And now that school is almost over, those times are almost gone
The times of chasing ice cream trucks, chasing pretty blondes
But the docks will always be there, when they need to be alone
When they’re craving some captivity, some time away from home
And even though they’re married, and changing their kid’s socks
They’ll always have those memories, those friends… and the docks
