Burdens
a dark light creeps up the wall,
so much like a silent call.
the call is a painful one,
it won't leave 'till it's done.
what can I do to bring back the light?
always being a neverending fight?
I could never be afraid of this,
there is worse than this dark bliss.
yes it's lonely to me,
but it let's me be.
the darkness cannot hurt me so why am I afraid?
the darkness isn't fearful so how bout a trade?
I'll take your darkness and give you my light,
you will be safe and no longer will you fight.
no more fighting between the light a dark,
listen to this and hear me hark.
THERE IS NO TRUE DARKNESS IN ANYTHING BUT LIES,
LIES THAT YOU TELL AND TRY TO FADE WITH YOUR CRIES.
YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE LIES THAT YOU'VE TOLD,
BUT I CAN HELP BY TAKING YOUR DARKNESS TO HOLD.
I can't take your burden for you, but I can end your darkness,
end your pain,
I can't stop you from making your mistakes, but I can bring you light with the darkness slain.
I'll end your suffering with this promise...
I'll turn your night to day.

this piece shows something that many of us fail to realize. we all have problems and constantly complain about the terrible things that we have to go through when in reality we can take our pain, our experiences, and use them to help those around us instead of just sitting around and moping like broken china that's unfixable. it's time to open up and let someone else in so you can become stronger and help carry someone else's burden and make a difference in their life. make a difference in someone else's life. you may be afraid of what someone else is going through, their darkness, but it's not happening to you. it's happening to them. talking them through it and imagining it is not going to harm you. move past that pointless fear and help those around you as needed.
