But it Hurts
It hurts,
It hurts so bad.
Teeth clenched,
Fist at the ready,
I can't do this to myself.
I have watched you take what you've wanted,
Little valued, but greatly flaunted.
You made it look so easy,
So others came and tried for themselves.
I was sick, and I was queasy.
They emptied this heart of all it's shelves.
And now I'm left her hollow.
Their whispers and rumors echo from the inside.
It's a tough pill to swallow,
But so far no one has been denied.
