"Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead." ~Louisa May Alcott

Sunsets painted on golden lace
Lifeless eyes in a porcelain face

Ponies that prance through a starry mist
Secret worlds that don’t exist

Reflections in blue kitten eyes
A candle that flickers but never dies

A dusty dress that has yet to be worn
The echoing cry of a far off horn

Shadows that twist in a silent dance
A blossoming smile that happened by chance

A Spanish lullaby’s gentle tune
Poppies growing beneath the Copper
moon

Songs that are sung until first light
This is what I’ll dream of tonight
