A Splash of Red
Red is anger surging through our bones.
Red is the power our body hones.
Red is a soldier’s blood so true,
fighting hard for me and you.
Red is triumph in the air,
Red is flaming locks of hair.
Red is courage, standing for right,
Red is the moon on a smoky skied night.
Red is the sound of scraping your knee,
Red is the sting of a bumblebee.
Red is fire roaring through the woods,
Red is candy and sweatshirt hoods.
Red is a radiant, soft velvet rug,
Red is the wings of a ladybug.
Red is the smell of of spicy treats,
Red is the stains from sugary sweets.
Red is loving with all you’ve got,
Red is missing someone dear a lot.
Red is marking your answers wrong,
Red is a pregame battle song.
Red is deep and so sincere,
Red is a ruby on your ear.
Red is strength pumping through our veins,
Red is post game energy gains.

I love the color red, it is one of our school colors, so I see it reflected in a lot of what I do.
