A Deviation of sorts

A deviation of sorts is strapped
to the interior
of my heart
waiting
for a time
when
acceptance
is present.
It slowly begins
to perpetuate
and scares me
with a hidden
test of self verses
compassion for others.
Selfishly, I follow out of
my own desires and fall
trapped in a corner happily,
with no intention to escape.
