Going For A Touchdown
Running down the field,
Going for another touchdown.
You do the same thing every game,
And that football always leads you to a victory.
As you make your way across the field you look up at me.
Every time I picture those bright blue eyes I feel comforted.
It's like the softest blanket in the world is being wrapped around me,
Clearing my mind, and taking our every bit of fear and sorrow I have inside me out.
I sometimes wonder what it would be like if I was that football.
To be able to know that I was the one that was leading you on to your victory,
To know that I was the one that could make you smile and shout 'Yes!'
I wish that I could be that football in your hands.
Cheering you on, and leading you to victory.
