Hers Vs. Mine
Her door is always closed
Mine is always opened
Her blinds block out the day
Mine slide to welcome the sun
Her hands stay tucked in pockets
Mine dance blissfully through the air
Her voice is dark and deep
Mine light as a cotton ball
Her hood traps her thoughts
Mine hangs to let my ideas flow free
Her clothes are black and dreary
Mine carry the colors of the world
But we are both here, both human
Caught under the checker-boarded blanked of life
