Those Eyes
Walking the crowded halls
I can't help but feel alone
The same routine
Travel the hallways
Navigate the maze of people
Locker, then class
Wander the halls a bit
Eyes fixed on the ground
I glance up
Our eyes meet
I look away
What was just seconds
Seemed like eternity
I continue on to class
Forever set to be thinking
The thoughts of you
Of us
Race through my brain
I see your face
Your eyes
When I close mine
Those eyes
That scream 'I love you,
I miss you'
The sad blue lakes
Allow me access
To your heart
Your soul
A smile or a laugh
Can lie
But your eyes
Will always
Tell the truth
