My father is exploding with frustration
Like the day-early fireworks overhead
They blast every car alarm in the 3A section
Howling in fear that someone is taking them

I ran my sticky hands down my chubby thunder thighs
I don't deserve this body, do i?
My stomach detests the sick sweetness
Of perfectly pure and innocent cotton candy

Up high enough to see
The L-I-double-R shot out of it's casing
Immigrants lurking on bicycles under the overpass
And vampire bats over Shea Stadium
