And can you feel my frustration?
Agitation?
Can you hear my screams of self-hatred?
Its eating me from the inside'.
I want to cry every drop of moisture from my body
But mostly,
I never want to feel like this again
What made you not love me anymore?
I admit I was becoming a bore,
But to me you're so much more
Than just a passing friend
I let go of my mask
Just for you
I tell you every word I know is true
And still
I feel so obsolete
So incomplete
You would rather meet
Anyone but me
I see it in your eyes
You want me to leave
Tell me its my imagination
Please, because
It hurts too much
I can't shut it out
I can't ignore you
Like they do
To me
Tell me whats wrong with me
I'll fix anything
For you
So precious a friend
You have become
I want to know
I'm not just anyone
To you
I want to know you see
Deeper down inside of me
Than just what eyes can reach
In reality
I've tried so hard
But I can't act like everybody else
Its just too much for me to handle
I've spent so long pulling away from the crowd
And now the person I've come to love the most of all of them
Now wants me around the least
Am I such a beast that you shun me with fire and pointy sticks?
The words that you should be saying, that I want you to say
Sting, Burn, Itch, Throb, Ache
More than anything you could ever dream of saying
I want you to see
I don't know the real me
Shes in there
Somewhere
But I don't recognize her
But who I am until I find her
Is all I have
So keep me close while I cry
While I weep
In the dark cold silence
Of uncertainty

Thanks for the comment! But its not about a breakup. ha. Well, I guess you could say that, in a sense, but its really about just being dropped by a close friend, and getting this feeling you're unable to ignore, that you're not wanted anymore.

i love it. its powerful, gripping, and it shows the raw emotion and pain of a breakup and the uncertainty left behind.
