In the Darkest of Hours

Trapped within the boundaries
Of my subconscious,
I struggle to face the sunrise.
Maybe one day,
When I wake,
I will no longer be tormented
By painful reminders
Behind my eyes.
Swiftly,
A thought can be gone
From my mind,
But between the sheets,
In the darkest of hours'
I am the unwilling audience
To my banished dreams,
And cannot ever seem to tear myself away
From that vivid face'
