Is Winning Everything?
little girl
 running fast
 down a gray and
 rock path
 all those eyes
 looking at her
 someone's eyes are missing
 now all are a blur
 other runners on her heels
now she wishes it wasn't real
 theres the finish line
 got to break it
 doesn't know
 if she can make it
 wait what just happened
 did she win
 she knows she did
when she sees her mom's grin
 the whole ride home
 is completely quiet
 mom's thinking of an excuse
but knows she won't buy it
 why wasn't dad there
 the little girl said
 her mother responded by
 just scratching her head

Great job. I can't believe that you wrote something like this at your age. I'll be showing (bragging about this to all of my friends at work.
