Sonnet
I dreamt of sweetness that I held in hand
The same as all my other friends would do;
But simple dreams grew into that of man
And everything I thought was only you.
I did not know where I would seek to find
So precious of a gem I held in sight;
But all I knew was what I saw from mind
Could only be the dream that fit most right.
I did indeed delight my soul at last,
A lifesick love felt hearth of home at heart,
So why then is this reappearing past,
When life fulfilled in love had only start?
I could not pull my hand out of the jar;
The hand that held my dreams had reached too far.
