The stars glittered brightly,
Reflecting on the oil-smooth water,
The powder-white sand mirroring
The clear, bright moon.
I just sat there, waiting.
'Where is he?' I wondered.
The night would have been perfect,
But you still didn't come.
I sat there till dawn.
Then I slowly stood,
Crying silently to myself.
You never came.

very nice. you have a very natural talent for vividly portraying your surroundings in a way that humanity has been struggling to do since the 3rd grade. i see you write alot of haiku's...you should read "it's you turn; try" by insaneprincess...you both have nice work..

You're a hard man to please aren't you? I meant it to be like that. She was crying silently. A single tear, and she wasn't really moving other than getting up.

Love the strong imagery in the beginning. You could strengthen the second to last line by describing the tears running down your face, or your shoulders shaking in anger/sadness.
