Anthropophobia
There’s a million different ways to describe a being.
Whether you see what is coated on the outside,
or what is buried within.
Sadly,
we only are allowed to see portions of these creatures
that roam our very Earth.
Thankfully,
we only are allowed to see portions of these creatures
that roam our very Earth.
The words lied
The promises broken
The smiles faded
The breaths stifled
When has any source of joy
sprouted from these beings.
We function as vacuums.
Constantly engulfing all that surrounds us,
only to complain we are left with nothing
After the power gives out
or once the line is pulled too tight.
We go nothing but whine
about the life we have been given.
If I can’t even live with myself,
how am I to live with everyone else?
Impossible.
Confined to the deep ink of my home
the stone that has been carven to fit these walls.
To keep out or hold in?
Ah,
No being is welcome
No being may leave
Which way are you running
Which color do you bleed.
Sorry is muttered
Goodbyes laid to rest
But yet these four walls are where I will stay
until beings learn
That this is not everything
And lives are not nothing.
