Astrophobia
There are nights where the sky is so close
I feel like I could breathe it in.
Inhale the stars
and taste the moon,
letting galaxies dance across my tongue
shooting stars etching a pattern into the holiness of my being.
I would let anything happen under those stars
on those nights.
Anything and everything.
I would sing with a voice so loud
I would persuade gods to change their religion
I would build sanctuaries and pray for the needed.
I would dance with such grace
the wind would bless me with their love
and I would fly in the air
drifting into whatever I wished to be.
I would smile with such inspiration
and incite everyone to talk
to speak what words joust with their tongue.
I would challenge the universes,
to come and duel with me.
I would lose all pride I have left
on cotton under those stars.
I would put away all doubts,
lock them in a box,
and throw away the key.
I’d throw the key to the stars
where it would stay.
Until the next celestial pirate
came to adventure
and chose to surf the waves alongside the stars.
Until then,
My dear brethren,
Godspeed

It seems there are more stars, than people. Yet we, are more destructive, when we explode.
