Need or Want?

My need to paint has gotten stronger
The need has almost turned into a want, and I need to reconquer
Reconquer painting
Everything swirling around is emotionally draining
I don't understand how my mind jumps to painting when something goes wrong
This has been going on for way too long
I don't know if I need or want to paint
Sometimes I only want to forever faint
So many times I've been told this won't last
Although I can only hope that it won't as I sit with my newly painted mask
