Walking along water as day turns to night
with the sound of the rushing water, something does not feel right.
Here in this place as sounds start to cease
walking alone with the Moon brings me peace.
Clearing and cleaning the thoughts from my head
like the old letters, that I will soon shred.
The idea of sleep makes me nauseous and sick.
So I walk and I walk before my feelings come quick.
I walk to the sound as my mind starts to drift.
Like the earth at my feet while the ground starts to rift.
Falling while closing my eyes as land,
when they open I feel I’ve arrived in the sand.
Boundless beams bump down to the Earth
as the moonlit sky exposes its worth.
As I lay there still with my face to the sky,
I see the moon watching me with his humor so wry.
The distant dancing stars drift far into space.
When I look up to the moon and see his smiling face,
now I know that here is my place.
As he laughs
and laughs
and laughs.
