I remember I remember
I remember I remember
My sister and I playing outside
The smell of grills and everyone saying hi
We would always play and my sister would hide
Games we loved to play with each other
Sisters we were always and forever
I remember I remember
My sister doing my hair
It hurt so much but I had to be fair
Clothes we took from one another
I was glad she was my sister and not a brother
We always got yelled at by our mother
I remember I remember
When she moved far away
I begged and begged her to stay
As she left I felt a tear in my eye
We both waved as we said goodbye
I remember I remember
I was alone playing outside
I had no one to play with and hide
Games I couldn’t play because I was alone
But sisters we were always and forever
