Fish
Hidden eyes lock away the portal.
 She bathes in tears
 And artificially colors life.
 Vivid ocean blue blankets

  The cold sink water and

 Purple picturesque crystallized stones

   Mask dirt sand.
She sculpts her pain into a passion,
    Smears it on canvas, displayed.
    Every tourniquet is torn.
    No sound localization
    Obsessive voices attack her.
    No defenses,
 Devout Mother enters scene:
Balled hands fly in the air and Beloved breath fails, intoxicated.
 Mud tears run away,
   Lip biting, scalp scratching,
 Nervous habits follow.

  She is clinging onto compliments.
 Colors oppositely attract,

 At heels, I travel as
 The enabler, I quickly follow
In my new mask and cape, super---? She is orange and unstable.
    I am blue and

 unstoppably excusing bad behavior.
 Scuba dive down
 Into the fish bowl
There is no sanctuary here: Disintegrating plastic castle.
     Defend her, save her.
     Paralysis.

     My friend,

 The drowning fish.
     I am barely afloat.
     Let us expose this genocide
     of hope.
