Soldier's Death
My sword will cut no more.
Indeed I can no longer
grasp it's hilt.
All they say about death
is false.
There is no white light.
No angels sing,
no wings appear.
All they say is false.
The battle rages on yet,
nothing can be done.
For they are dead now
as I am dead now.
But some cannot give up.
The battle rages on.
We do not know what
we are waiting for.
Bound here to
fight forever more?
What shall be our fate
We do not know.
Darkness comes,
and with it brings a
beast that sours over
and takes us upon it's wings
and carries us far
from here to where
darkness comes.
