Characters
Jimbo’s a masquerade
He makes me wonder
Of a life I love to hate
And upon I like to ponder
A new person this week
Than he was in the last
Identity he tries to seek
But winds up falling in the past
Timmy’s a friend of mine
Though he hides behind a wall
Ignorant to passing time
He loves to sit and waste and stall
Always a conflict
When Timmy’s around
Coils and constricts
And falls to the ground
Characters in my mind
Watch them round my head
Characters that I find
Leave me for the dead
Mikey is a simple man
With simple thoughts and simple speech
A special American
To whom a thing you cannot teach
Either way he’s north and south
Not a word he speaks is understood
Damaged brain and a delayed mouth
Pretends to fight for the greater good
Jerry is a sneaky one
Twisted smile and slanted eyes
Always with a loaded gun
Never seen out of disguise
Treats friend and foes as equals
Never caught in the act of a crime
To his life, there is no sequel
Always works on borrowed time
Characters in my mind
Watch them round my head
Characters that I find
Leave me for the dead
