She wears the moonlight in her hair
She knocks me over with her gypsy eyes
She speaks like cardinals in disguise
An incognito angel of my demise

An angel sent from heaven, yet a devil sent from hell
She lifts me up with her phoenix tears, but throws me down the endless well

I want to feel her martian skin
The bronzed-aged beauty, without and within
There is an apple in her eye
Everyone will die if you take a bite

Halos hang around her head, sandals at her feet
When she calls out to me in disguise, it sounds so sweet

And then she walked back out the door
Never to glimpse her weathered face no more
And you know, some way I’m glad
It might be better not to know what we could’ve had
