Where I'm from
Where I’m from
I am from West side of South America
From Chica And chicken soup
I am from Chancletas and phone books
And it would be for me having ADHD
I am from hand me downs and garage sale shoes
Where the hand me downs would be scratched and bruised
I am from blue ponchos and fedoras
From Judith and Mario
And from Athletes and jokers
From hard workers
I am from church on Sundays and prayers at night
I am from Ceviche and Pollo la brasa
I am from people playing soccer and volleyball on the streets and beaches with plastic balls
And kids playing during school hours
Running around playing tag with siblings
I am from the moments that make the branches soar through the sky
I am from Ecuador and Peru
