Burning
  I’m lost, dead inside
Tell me, how does one feel alive?
  When emotions fail to collide
  Feel something? I’ve tried
  Nothing is felt; dead nerves
The lack of feeling should hurt
  But those emotions don’t exist
Unless the do, and I just block them out on purpose
If that’s the case, it’s unintentional
For what they did to me, unforgivable
That would mean this behavior was learned
They left me alone to burn
  And burn I did
Until I became used to it
