Hunter?
7:00 am Get up Bookey! You are going to be late for school!
Bookey? What? Why am I telling myself to get up?
Hunter? Why are you dressed like me?
I fly out of bed and in the mirror, I see the reflection of my brother, Hunter.
Run to the bathroom, I have short hair, I smell like sweat. MOM!
What do I do? She says nothing is wrong. Then I notice my voice. Deep, low.
I get yelled at and run to change. Um I guess a sweatshirt and jeans? I go to school all these guys are punching me, my arm is sore. They ask to play basketball at recess. I HATE basketball.
Go home and want to go back to bed but mom says hockey practice is in 30 minutes. I get my stuff and go. Quickly I change and am on the ice, at least I can skate. My body is wet and I realize it is sweat.
I can’t do this anymore. I need my girly clothes, simple life, and nice smells.
Please turn me back into my sister. Wait… I mean myself.
