So Long
“Daddy, I’m not tired.”
said the little girl.
He always wanted to control her world.
“You know what happens,
when you don’t do what you’re told.”
“Oh please Daddy no!”
With ever hit
a silent tear falls,
but God never answeres her calls.
She doesn’t know what to do.
Daddy says it’s for her own good.
Maybe he’s just misunderstood.
But it never stops.
Now she doesn’t feel the pain,
all her prayers have gone down the drain.
She’s given up hope
for a better tomorrow.
All there is left is sorrow.
But one day Daddy went to far.
He wanted her to sleep,
but not this deep.
She’s gone forever.
God answered her call.
Now she won’t ever fall.
She only asks God one question,
now that she’s strong.
“What took you so long?”
