I Miss You, Daddy
Crying on the floor at night,
I feel it will not end.
Someone please end their fight,
I need our hearts to mend.
When he finally moved out,
Without so much as a letter,
I felt an intense amount of doubt
that things would soon be better.
My mother took it hard,
I know that she still cries.
It’s left her torn and scarred,
It’s sad how she still tries.
She won’t accept she’s alone,
Yet she’s torn and broken.
And although I have grown,
My mom’s still so heartbroken.
After all this time I think,
Is love really meant to last?
For all things can end in a blink,
Just look back at your past.
