The Love We Share
I don't know what happened,
What came over me,
I promised to never hurt you.
I suppose I'm just naïve.
I took a step too far;
I crossed the line we drew.
I said some spiteful things,
I never thought I knew.
Now reality sets in,
and through my eyes I finally see.
The person who said those things wasn't really me.
I am hoping you'll forgive me,
See the sadness in my eyes.
I know with you with me,
I would surely die.
So please accept this apology,
and try to remember that I care.
Instead of it being hate,
I'd rather love we share.

“I think everything in life is art. What you do, how you dress, the way you love someone and how you talk. Your smile and your personality, what you believe in and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea, how you decorate your home or party, your grocery list, the food you make, how your writing looks and the way you feel. Life is art.”
