As you take your jeweled throne,
And think it will be your forever home,
I will hide behind the adoring crowd.

You wear a wicked Swindlers Grin.
The one that shall be your fatal sin...
I stand and mock your foolishness.

As your celebrations grow and rage,
You will shine upon the stage,
And I will recede and wait for my move.

Remember this young rider..
They will lift you higher..
And one day, let you fall.

You will wish that day never came,
When your perfect life went up in flames..
And the people you trusted left you there.

And as you try to take back your sin,
I will mask my face with your old Swindlers Grin...
And take what is rightfully mine.

Well a swindler is someone you takes someone else's money or property. I thought it made sense with the definition. Some people may not see it. I hope the meaning doesn't change your view on the poem :)

I hate it when people do that... When they think they are above everyone else... I completely relate to this :D It is very well written. Just one question though, What is a Swindler?

I love how you contructed it, and I love how the sentences *click*. You make the reader feel what's in the writing, makes them feel what the writer feels and wants to let the reader feel.

Very well written, it is descriptive but leaves the reader open to find their own meanings. Keep writing.
