There Once Was A Girl
There once was a girl,
who laughed like there was no tomorrow.
She laughed to laugh, sing, and smile.
One day, she looked into the mirror and saw nothing but worthlessness.
Her days got darker and longer, she needed to find a way out.
She cut to release her pain, she cut to live again.
It wasn't enough, she looked into the mirrors and saw nothing but fat.
She started not eating, every time she looked into the mirror, there was nothing but darkness.
She was scared and alone, wanting love but she pushed everyone away.
The once was a girl, who just wanted love.
I'm just that girl, who just wanted to feel alive, who just wants to thrive.
