Warped Fairy-Tale
Once Upon A Time,
There was a girl,
There was a guy.
She was all alone,
He was in the light.
All she wanted was to be seen,
He was living in a dream.
She was lost – deep in the woods,
In him, all they saw was something good,
But below it all, below the lies,
Was something sinister, something to despise.
She found her way through the forest,
Through it all, the broken promises.
He kept it buried, hidden underneath,
Below his crafted masterpiece.
Yet, when she saw him, she noticed straight away,
There was nothing true to what they say.
Cause in his eyes, veiled deep,
She saw not beauty, but a beast.
No longer was she helpless, no longer Cinderella,
Her ties to that world gone, thanks to being severed.
No Prince Charming was he,
No matter how hard he tried to be.
The beast was breaking through,
His real appearance showing true.
It was a barrier between him and the world,
It was a shield between him and his girl.
No hope for them, it was not fate,
There was no light for them beyond that gate.
Never for them would it get better,
Never would they have a Happy Ever After.
