More Than Meets The Eye
I'm irrational,
At times unkind,
Easily irritable,
With a lot on my mind.
Little faith in people,
And much less in myself.
This world seems pure evil,
So I left my good side on the shelf.
I don't think twice before speaking,
Or care too much at all.
The trouble flows from my feelings,
And I gladly take the fall.
I'm kind of hard to understand,
And sometimes stutter when I speak.
I'm like that product that's not on high demand,
So I need some shine, because I'm looking a little bleak.
But there's more than meets the eye,
If you take a chance on a lost soul.
I may be tired, and my wings a little dry,
But just wait a little longer, 'cause I'm on my way home.
