They Came
To conquer and subdue,
whilst many die of flu.
Soldiers come marching,
as you find something worth catching.
The king's men ask you questions,
though you feel as it is deception.
They ask if you are the leaders of this village,
you nod but they are only here to pillage.
Calling all your men to arms,
but the king's men are already burning farms.
Women and children being taken away,
bodies of men piling up in horse hay.
As they march to you,
your worst nightmare has come true.
