Nothing's impossible, just improbable.

My mama done
how mamas should
she teach me to cook
now I cook real good

And my daddy?
he teach me to talk
he don't know much himself

But what he tell me
he tell me right
he teach it straight
like the day and the night

And all those big faces
in the high places
the guys with the powers
arguin' for hours

They tell me it's about
my dreams
what I need

No.

It's about family
My Fundamental Foundation for the Future

I KNOW my mamma done
how mamas should
she teach me to cook
now I cook real good

And my daddy?
he teach me to talk
he don't know much himself

But what he tell me
he tell me right
he teach it straight
like the day and the night

That's it.

I was stuck inside one of those moments when your thoughts are inescapable. I remembered a poem that I heard on the news. It was rough and unpolished, but I loved it. I wanted to write something like that. This is what sprinted out of my head.
