Another Girl

Do you not know
how much it hurts me inside,
or how much I want
to run and to hide?
Seeing you with her
should not be my concern,
but everything about you
just makes my heart yearn.
Each happy picture
or glimpse of your joy
just makes my heart feel
like a broken toy.
Useless and unwanted,
I don't let my pain show.
The only escape
is to lay in the snow.
To let the cold numb me
and take me away
so I won't have the pain
that I feel on this day.
