Forever our Heroes
This is the tale of an unknown fighter,
Who gave his all for his people.
It is he that makes our days brighter.
His life remembered by all in the steeple.
His soul to be with god and no longer suffer.
A young life to remember.
This sorrow will only make you tougher,
But keep it inside you as if a burning ember.
He dove onto a grenade,
To save a friend.
In those few moments he prayed,
For soon he will ascend.
Although unknown, he’s a hero to all.
He takes his flight,
Never to fall.
As he is our knight.
A bishop attends wearing his miter.
Flowers arrive bearing a sepal.
The candles are lit by a lighter.
The family sits awaiting the people.
His soul to be with god and no longer suffer.
Memories kept, never to dismember.
This sorrow will only make you tougher.
Emotions to fly as if in December.
For he we are free,
And we must never forget.
We owe our lives to he,
As a cherished vet.
