Sickened Love
Where Love goes, love always hides,
Love will never come to be your bride.
Love rather would be cruel more than holy,
And so Love leaves you, sad and lonely.
Be careful around love, it's bite is poison.
By just looks can call the boys in.
It's a mask of seduction, persuaded your mind,
And then leaves you alone, empty inside.
What was thought as love was an illusion.
It's not Romance, instead it's persuasion.
Don't let it fool you, it's hard to tell
When lovely things cast a dark spell.
Don't trust love, take it from my memory.
For when I yearn for Love, it teases me.
I ask, I beg, and I receive no sympathy.
And so Love treats you, pathetically.
