She takes a novel
and hurries to her tree.
The leaves cover and conceal
her while she gets ready to
read.
She coaxes it open and

To a different reality.
She unfolds new secrets and
experiments with new things

The reason I wrote this poem is because I needed to find a good way to let people know how I felt about reading. Just telling them I liked to read wasn't enough, so I wrote a poem. I feel like this poem really describes how special reading is.
