I am from a house shared by 50,

from the mountains covered in glistening snow,

from mysterious parents.

I am from the chilling breeze rushing past me,

from scarce meals, tasting of dust,

from mysterious brothers and sisters.

I am from the Red Square,

from untrustworthy guardians, worried about other orphans,

from mysterious friends.

I am from the orphanage,

from watching others, get chosen, thoughts of despair,

from trustworthy acquaintances.

I am from life saving planes,

from new lands, that call to me,

from trustworthy guardians and caring arms.

I am from new chapters to be written,

from dreams and aspirations,

from trustworthy mentors.

I am from a house shared by 50,

from the mountains covered in glistening snow,

from parents, “Jeff and Kristin.”
