When I Grow Up
I want to be someone
Who is worth remembering in this world
Who is kind and honest to those who aren't
Who doesn't quite fit in with the crowd
Who has flaws and quirks like everyone else
Who makes you smile with happiness
Who feels everything with a fiery passion
Who doesn't give up quite so easily
Who roots for underdogs no one else knew
Who gives second chances to the misunderstood
Who still has their inner kid in their heart
Who doesn't tear down dreams and wishes
Who loves strongly, honestly, and freely
When I grow up, I hope I do a better job at it than most people.
