In the Bay
My toes sink into the sand
Like a large stone in water sinking into a state of near nonexistence
The waves hit my feet and clean them
Like liquid spraying from a hose and filling young flowers with life
The wind whips my hair into my face
Like an ocean current growing and knocking a toddler off of her dainty feet
The sky is blue and the ocean is grey
The romance I pursue is right here in the bay
The ocean is home to many a life form
The fish, the dolphins, the otters, and me
As I sit and I pray
for the ocean to sweep me away
Into a place of euphoric oblivion
I am gone.
