To CTYers
I write about how I’m going to miss
Going home every summer -
But really, it’s more that I’ll miss
Running-around-with-pride-flags joy and
Crying-together-at-2-am friendships and
I-only-met-you-last-summer family,
The people who stood by me when I was told that
The name on my ID was my real name and
The people who crammed under my umbrella and
The people I danced with - and
The people I didn’t,
The friend who drew me a door dec by hand when the RA didn’t bother and
The friend who I played piano badly with and
My real family -
The gayble, and GLOW, and my classes, and
Every
Single
One
Of
You.

I keep writing about my camp. This is another poem to CTY LAN, I guess.
