Procrastination
The dandelion pappi are soaked
Leaving your dreams weighted.
the elongated blades of grass stare
As they marinate the soil
And become nutrients
for the grass to become
taller.
All the blades prosper and grow into brush
Intertwining in a tangled mess of
Competition and dedication
keeping others from rising above them,
leaving the fantasy to be soaked into the earth.
With only a fragment of a pappus left,
The sun is no longer visible.
and all it can do now is
shiver in the dark ally
and hope for a match to light up its surroundings
so, it can fight against the other fallen
hoping to regain some of its lost
pride.
