Strangers

I...  am.... not.... in.... my... own... skin,

Did you hear me?

I.... am... not... in... my own skin.

Are you listenig?

I. AM. NOT. IN. MY. OWN . SKIN.

I have cutted and I have folded to fit in,

I have crumpled my heart,

my.... dreams,

so I could slide right in,

to avoid the taunts,

to dodge the critiques,

to try and gain this, this thing we call acceptance,

but acceptance is a lie,

it is trogan horse that sneaks behinds our lines to uncover the secrets of our truths,

to uncover... you....,

it leaves you defensless,

Alone,

Forgotten,

Just another word in a page filled with them,

it strips you down to something you won't even recognize,

looking in the morror you will see a stranger,

a stranger that has YOUR eyes,

a stranger that has YOUR skin,

A stranger that has YOUR life,

and worst of all, you are left,

stuck in your mind,

watching yourself become someone your not,

screaming....

screaming....

Why did I ever think I wasn't good enough.
