Childhood
We always got McDonald’s cheeseburgers
When we were too lazy to make dinner
We’d pile up in that old minivan
Getting no vegetables, like winners
We’d drive over that bridge
And down that long street
Where we’d place our orders
Yellow cheese and old meat
We never forgot the fries
Or the sweet and sour sauce
We’d try to wait patiently
Trying to listen to the boss:
Can’t have them ‘til we get home
‘Cause you always make a mess
Just let us have them now!
It’ll give you less stress
So we’d dig into that bag
Grabbing all that we could
Didn’t have any worries
Life was so good
