Fire
I am a fire
And I ruin what I touch
I am always afraid
That I am never enough
I am uncontrollable
A stubborn light
But I also give some comfort
Some hope to the night
I hurt those around me
Sometimes I don’t mean to
But other times I want to hurt
And you know this to be true
I take what’s not mine
Leaving others with ash
I don’t care if they hurt
I’ll throw them in the trash
I destroy mercilessly
But I also keep hands warm
I might just be evil
But I have another form
I give hope to fear
I give light to dark
I renew the old
It all starts with a spark
This spark has to grow
But it can’t be too hot
I haven’t always won
But always have I fought
